Meet Sherma Alfred, a full-time medical specialist and aspiring doctor. She’s on a mission to make a positive change in medicine, specifically in trichology and dermatology. But how did she get here?

Almost 20 years ago, Sherma started her career as a hairstylist. Little did she know that her passion for hair would lead her into the world of healthcare. After getting her cosmetology license, she realized that many folks didn’t know much about hair and scalp problems. She saw a gap in knowledge.

That’s when she decided to dive into trichology, the study of hair and scalp disorders. She got her trichology license, becoming the only hair and scalp specialist on the island. Quite an achievement!

But Sherma’s journey doesn’t stop there. She’s now working hard to finish her medical studies at the All Saints University School of Medicine. Her big dream? To become a dermatologist. She’s well on her way to making a real impact in the world of medicine.
